Beautiful looking Kawasaki GT550 Cafe Racer, W reg (2000) £2000, South Birmingham, lovingly restored and modified (by a previous owner), cafe racer style, dropped handlebars, set back footpegs, frame shortened at rear. Good tyres/brakes. Tank stripped back and varnished to beautiful patina. Passed MOT last April no problems, no advisories. MOT next due 16 October 2020 (extended due to Covod-19). Only ridden minimally since. 26,000 miles done from new. Kept under cover in secure area. PLEASE NOTE: the riding stye of a cafe racer didnt suit me hence the sale. I attempted to make it more comfortable for me by raising handlebars and switching foot pegs back to originals, however still did not solve the issue that the bike is just too big for me to ride with these modifications. I still have the alternative footrests and they can easily be replaced. The handlebars would be a simple job to put back to fully dropped cafe racer style. Just need a spanner!
Not been ridden for a few months due to lockdown and battery has died in that time. Can replace so it can be started up. Or buyer can replace if preferred. Also, note speedo was disconnected during transit last year and not currently connected. Has barely done any miles since but is something that will need sorting.
PLEASE NOTE: the photos are of the bike in full cafe racer style and are from a few months ago. Since then i have adjusted the handlebars and footrests (see above) but these adjustments are not shown in the photos.
Any questions, please feel free to ask me. You are welcome to come and have a look at the bike. I can provide details of a decent courier who are experienced in moving motorcycles if this is helpful.
Asking £2000, open to offers.
