Fuel’s Greasy Selvedge denim pants are a unique product. Why? The secret is the materials used. We used Selvedge Denim mixed with Aramid fibers to achieve a light, comfortable fit and AA safety rating.
Sizes are small, so if you wear 30" , better get size 32"
Before the 1950s, most fabrics — including denim — were made on shuttle looms. Shuttle looms produce tightly woven strips (typically one yard wide) of heavy fabric. The edges on these strips of fabric come finished with tightly woven bands running down each side that prevent fraying, raveling, or curling. Because the edges come out of the loom finished, denim produced on shuttle looms are referred to as having a “self-edge,” hence the name “selvedge” denim.
Our pants are crafted with both modern and vintage sewing machines combining the spirit of old times and the functionality and safety of nowadays needs. Some of these manufacturing machines are 100 years old and make highly strong stitching giving our goods a touch of longevity and durability.
The hip and knee protectors are from Polyanswer, a premium Portuguese manufacturer of CE protectors. Polyanswer is a unique startup span-off Porto university's research center.
If you want to be as unique as your bike, then you should definitely get these jeans.
