The chin spoiler on our Lane Splitter helmet is a straightforward component that decreases wind noise and airflow within the helmet by rerouting the wind that often rushes into the helmet from under the chin bar. Chin spoilers perform best when driving at high speeds and in cold weather.
Maintenance and Installation: On Lane Splitter helmets, a plastic strip along the leading edge of the chin spoiler is inserted between the outer shell and inside EPS safety padding. Surface tension from two Velcro hook pieces sewn to the plastic allows the spoiler to stay in place. To clean your chin spoiler, only use a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Simply remove and replace it if it becomes extremely dirty after many years of use.
